About Fabienne Greffet

Fabienne Greffet is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the ISAM-IAE Nancy, a researcher at the IRENEE and Pacte-CNRS Grenoble. Her current research focuses primarily on online campaigns, political participation, digital activism and political parties. She has previously worked on web use within political parties, political blogs and online political discussions, and has published in journals such as Hermeès, Questions de communication and Réseaux. Fabienne Greffet’s research grounds are generally European, with a particular interest in France and the United Kingdom; more recently she has been focusing on Quebec and Canadian cases, particularly for inpolitics.com.

Fabienne was successively Visiting Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Montreal (2003), Visiting Scholar at the University of Salford (2008), in the Media Department of the London School of Economics and Political Science (2008–9). She received a grant from the Center for the Study of Democratic Citizenship, Quebec, in 2010. She has participated in several comparative projects, including the Encyclopedia of European Elections (under the direction of Michael Bruter and Yves Deloye, Palgrave McMillan, 2007), E-Government in Europe: Rebooting the State (under the direction of Paul Nixon and Vassili Koutrakou, Routledge, 2007).

In 2009, Fabienne co-founded the research group Internet and Politics of the a href=”http://www.ecprnet.eu/” target=”_blank”>European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), to which she continues to contribute. She has been a member of DEL-CNRS since 2005.
